METRA will close Half Day Road at its railroad tracks (Waukegan Road) on August 26, 2012 to allow for the installation of the supporting structural bridge and lights for the new railroad crossing warning signals. The closure will take place at 6:00 a.m. and take 3-4 hours to complete.

 

Only one lane of westbound traffic will be open at the intersection of Half Day Road and Waukegan Road.

 

 

Eastbound vehicles can take Telegraph Road north to Old Mill Road. Turn Right (eastbound) onto Old Mill Road to Waukegan Road. Turn right (south) and proceed to Half Day Road.

 

 

Eastbound vehicles can take Telegraph Road south to Greenwood. Make a left turn (east) onto Greenwood to Waukegan Road.  Turn left (north) onto Waukegan Road to Half Day Road.
