Bannockburn Sanitary Sewer Rates - Effective January 1, 2013
The Village of Bannockburn bills on a quarterly basis. There are three sanitary sewer districts located in the Village of Bannockburn. Please contact the Village to determine which Sewer District you are in.
Village of Deerfield Sanitary Sewer District (Residential) -
Residents in the Village of Deerfield Sanitary District will be invoiced by the Village of Bannockburn for Deerfield's sanitary sewer processing, maintenance and use of the Village of Bannockburn owned pipes, and a $2.50 administrative service charge.
Effective January 1, 2013, the Village of Bannockurn will bill at a rate of $4.34 per 100 cubic feet. The minimum per quarter for residents in the Village of Deerfield Sanitary Sewer District will be $178.60($176.10 minimum fee per quarter +$2.50 administrative service charge).
Sewage fees are calculated based on water meter readings for that quarter. Where such readings are not available, or where the meter has not functioned properly, said fee shall be calculated based on the water meter readings of such Customer for the same quarter of the preceding year, or on a minimum charge of the base rate, whichever of the two shall be greater.
North Shore Sanitary District (Residential/Commercial).
Residents in the North Shore Sanitary District will be invoiced by the Village of Bannockburn and by the North Shore Sanitary Sewer District. You will also find a charge on your property tax bill from North Shore Sanitary District (the taxing body).

Where such readings are not available, or where the meter has not functioned properly, said fee shall be calculated based on the water meter readings of such Customer for the same quarter of the preceding year, or on a minimum charge of the base rate, whichever of the two shall be greater.
Lake County Sewage System District (Residential)
Residents in the Lake County Sewage System District will be invoiced by the Village of Bannockburn and by Lake County Sewage System District.

Sewage fees are calculated based on water meter readings for that quarter. Where such readings are not available, or where the meter has not functioned properly, said fee shall be calculated based on the water meter readings of such Customer for the same quarter of the preceding year, or on a minimum charge of the base rate, whichever of the two shall be greater.
Lake County Sewage System District (Commercial)
Commercial Residents in the Lake County Sewage System District will be invoiced by the Village of Bannockburn for Lake County's sanitary sewer processing, and for the maintenance and use of the Village of Bannockburn owned pipes.
Effective January 1, 2013, the Village of Bannockburn will bill at a rate of $5.24 per 100 cubic feet. The minimum per quarter for commercial residents in Lake Count Sewer System District will be $209.60.
Sewage fees are calculated based on water meter readings for that quarter. Where such readings are not available, or where the meter has not functioned properly, said fee shall be calculated based on the water meter readings of such Customer for the same quarter of the preceding year, or on a minimum charge of the base rate, whichever of the two shall be greater.
Invoices are mailed in January, April, July, and October. Payments are due 30 days after the invoice date. Payments received after the end of business on the due date will receive a 10% late penalty. If the due date falls on a weekend, payment is due no later than the close of business on the next business day.
Any customer that has incurred three (3) late payments within a two (2) year period may be required to pay to the Village a security deposit in the amount of the highest quarterly bill incurred within the last two years for the continuation of water services. The Village of Bannockburn reserves the right to discontinue service for non-payment of bill(s). A termination fee, a reconnection fee, and the total amount due including penalty (and deposit if required) must be paid before service will be resumed.
Failure to receive a bill does not exempt customer from penalty.
